Our chapter has had a very busy summer with lots of fun! We have 32 women who qualified and will be traveling to Palm Springs, California to participate in the EWGA Cup Finals on November 11 and 12. This is the largest cup finals that EWGA has held and I know all these ladies are looking forward to going and participating in this event. Good luck to all.
Our Tournament for a Cure held at Emerald Hills on October 9th was a big success. Thanks to everyone who participated, donated, volunteered, gathered donations and served on the organizational committee. This event would not have happened without great leadership, and that came from Tracy Nessl. This year we raised over $14,000 for the Memorial Foundation. Thanks Tracy and to all Cure volunteers!!

Here's a Summary of 2015 Year in Review
Golfing opportunities – This past summer we added a new mid-week group on Wednesdays – 9 or 18 holes. For new golfers, we added a monthly Mentoring group on Sundays. Just for fun, we did two events with our sister chapter Palm Beach – St Patty’s Day and Halloween. For our competitive players, we exceeded the number of participants from last year’s Chapter Championship and were able to underwrite the registration fees. We also sent 3 teams of 24 players to the EWGA Cup Qualifier.
Charitable Donations - Our annual Tournament for a Cure initially raised over $15,000 this year. After all expenses were paid, our chapter was able to send an additional donation, bringing the total to just over $18.000 for the Memorial Fund and their Women’s Imaging Center of Broward County. Our December holiday event will benefit the First Tee, with monetary gifts as well as used golf equipment.
New/Returning Sponsors - We are pleased to add several new Sponsors this past year – Miki Boyer-CPA, Spirit Airlines, Caring Touch Pain Relief Center, and Emma Leonardi Golf Academy. We also are especially pleased that the following sponsors recently renewed their support for 2015-16: Women’s Golf & Travel Concierge, Kevin Battersby Golf Learning Center, Jess Frank Golf Academy, Ameriprise-Cece Darden, and Holland/Seabourn-Kyle VandePoll.
Upcoming Plans for 2016 - The new Board of Directors is currently working to put together ideas for next year. Look for these in January, and feel free to contact President@ewgafortlauderdale.com if you wish to send any suggestions.
